How To Keep The Toys From Taking Over The House

If you struggle with your children’s toys talking over the house than here are a few good tips. We don’t have a play room in our house so the family room is our play room. The kids don’t like to hang out in their rooms too much which means toys get brought out to the greater part of the house. One of the main toys we used to struggle with was Legos. My son is obsessed with Legos but I would constantly find myself stepping on these small pieces and trying like mad not to blurt out every curse word in the book. A great tip for Lego play is to get a bag with a drawstring such as a canvas bag. Put all the Legos in there and then when they are ready to play lay all the Legos out on the canvas bag. Make sure the bag is big enough so they don’t go all over the floor. Once they are finished playing all you have to do is pull the drawstring and bam all the Legos are sucked up with it back into the bag. My daughter has a toy kitchen and we have the same issues with her play food and accessories. A great way to control this mess is simply by putting all accessories in a shallow but long box or a small suitcase. When she’s ready to play she grabs her suitcase from under her bed and all pieces except what she is playing with at the time stay confined.
